As a first generation American, it's important for me to share the information that I didn't have access to growing up to our future leaders.
The opportunity to expose children, at an early age, to the many business and career opportunities that are available as the world continues to evolve is invaluable

THE PURPOSE…
The purpose of the Ajilla Foundation Girls Leadership Summer Camp is to introduce and expose girls to leadership, innovation and technology fields.
In Yoruba, a language spoken in Nigeria, the word Ajilla means “walk in your wealth.” The Ajlla Foundation believes walking in wealth happens when a person pursues and invests in things that bring you joy, purpose and fulfillment. Through our Leadership Summer Camp, we want to teach girls to lead with passion, lead with purpose and lead by paying it forward.
Our summer program will combine the best of traditional camps—with opportunities for girls to build amazing friendships and experience fun games and activities—with workshops, field trips and other amazing opportunities centered around building girls’ voices and influence.
The Ajilla Foundation Girls Leadership Summer Program will include:
Interactive learning experiences with technology, such as coding, robotics and programming
Develop leadership and presentation skills through public speaking coaching and competitions
Career exploration and field trips to visit major Chicagoland corporations
Sharing of stories and experiences from corporate and business leaders
Mentorship for Ajilla Young Leaders fellows and other community leaders
Goal-setting training and exercises
Research-based curriculum on grit and perseverance
